For a while there, I (like you perhaps?) forgot to practice my magic.

Stuck in the rut of linear, individualistic, capitalistic approaches to change (self-extraction as an extreme sport, ya know?), I convinced myself that to get to a village would require buying the land, gathering the people, and starting everything from scratch on my own.

Ha!

I convinced myself (scratch that, capitalism convinced me) that the way to the Other World was with the means of This World.

Audre Lorde was wise when she said, the master’s tools will never dismantle the master’s house.

We are living in a collective house stripped of spirit or magic, built on the foundations of pressure, force and disembodied exploitation.

Maybe our minds have been brainwashed into believing we can “achieve” the New World with the tools of the Old… but our spirits? They know the truth.
