When things fall apart: Dance Temple #2

Sometimes, it’s hard to let yourself crack.

To crack open to your tenderness, tucked safely behind walls of protection.

To crack into the gooey center of your humanity, and stay sensitive to both the cheeky grin on your beautiful puppy’s face, and the faces of Ukrainian children cradled in fear.

Other times, you can’t help yourself, the push was just too much, something cracked you from the outside, you wish your insides could run back in but they’re out now and they’re everywhere, no stuffing them into polite submission.

I recorded this Dance Temple about 2 weeks ago on the heels of getting some not-great news, in the midst of feeling like my world was falling apart.

And I share it with you today, as an offering to our collective.

Maybe as you face our world, there’s some part inside that really wants to hide.

Or maybe there’s a part of you that simply cannot retreat; a part that’s cracked open like it or not, so now what with all these feral feelings?

Whether you need to crack or you can’t turn back – music can hold what’s too big to hold alone.

Here’s a gentle way in.
Here’s a place to begin.

Tune in above with this 5 minute Dance Temple Sermon first (you can clear your living room floor and light a few candles while you listen!), then click over to this 39 minute Dance Temple Set.

Sending you lots of love amidst it all.

May the music help you move through what’s too much to hold in.

Big love,
Rachael
